Section Highlights:
The Trail rejoins the rail bed at the crossing immediately at the Up end of Axedale Station. This crossing was the last between Bendigo and Heathcote to have the crossing gates removed - 1913. The Up Home Signal was nearby.
The Up Home Signal for the Axedale Racecourse Platform was located just before Hargreaves Creek which is crossed via a replacement bridge. Cemetery Road, on the lefthand side, was diverted with the rail line to cross at the Burns Street, Crowes Road intersection crossing. This was also the site of a Gatekeeper's Cottage.
