Grade: 2629_03

The line exits Bylands Station site on a slight rising grade at an unnamed (Union Lane) PCR Crossing with 18'6" gates, raised 1.13', with a culvert and post and rail fence on each side and enters a 60C radius left curve, runs through a very short and shallow Cutting 19. It then enters a surface formation, cuts a broken fence, enters Bank 19, crosses a culvert, enters Cutting 18, cuts a post and rail fence, and reaches the 5M point - 38M 16C 51L from Melbourne.

Continuing on the upward grade, crosses an Occupation Crossing with gates, crosses a culvert, enters Bank 18, crosses an old sawpit culvert, cuts a post and rail fence, crosses another culvert, enters a surface formation, crosses an Occupation Crossing with gates and a culvert each side, straightens, enters Bank 17, cuts through a log fence, passes a diverted gully, enters Cutting 17, cuts a post and rail fence at the top of the rise in a shallow cutting, and enters a 40C radius left curve.

Now heading on a down grade, the line enters Bank 16, passes a diverted creek, crosses a culvert, then an Occupation Crossing with gates, enters Cutting 16, then Bank 15, crosses named Broadhurst Creek via a 7' x 7' arch culvert, commences an upward grade, cuts through a post and rail fence, enters low Cutting 15 which cuts a log fence. The line straightens, passes a diverted gully, levels, and commences a 1 in 50 down grade within the cutting, and the 4M point is reached - 37M 16C 51L from Melbourne.

Grade: 2629_02

The line continues down the grade in the cutting, and cuts through a fence. It exits Cutting 15 and enters Bank 14, crosses a culvert, enters shallow Cutting 14, cuts a log fence, enters Bank 13, enters a 40C radius right curve, crosses a special 3' barrel culvert, followed by a log fence, and another 3' barrel culvert, and crosses an Occupation Crossing with gates, and a culvert on the Up side. The line exits the bank and enters Cutting 13, passes a diverted gully, enters Bank 12, straightens and crosses a 3' barrel culvert, enters Cutting 12, within which it passes under a fenced but unnamed road (Arkell's Lane) bridge, reaching 3M - 36M 16C 51L from Melbourne.

Clear of the above rail bridge, the line continues downhill, exits the cutting to Bank 11, crosses a special 3' barrel culvert. There is an entry Culvert under Road Diversion that needs to be checked. A fenced unnamed road diversion is next, as the line enters named Leslie's Siding.
