Having exited the Longlea Station Ground, the line crosses an unnamed road (Longlea Lane) with 18'6" gates, raised 1.09', with a fence and a culvert on each side, enters low Bank 31, and crosses another culvert. Another culvert is crossed near the end of the bank, the line runs on a short surface formation, crosses the Parish Boundary, commences a level grade, cuts a fence at a drain and the entrance to Cutting 36, and enters Bank 30 where it crosses named Axe creek via a 17 x 15' openings bridge. It then enters Cutting 35 on an up grade, runs through a very shallow cutting 34, into low Bank 29.
The line continues, to cut through a fence, crosses an unnamed road (Hodge's Lane) PCR Crossing with 13'6" gates, raised 1.14', with a fence on each side, crosses a culvert, continues on the up grade, enters a 40C radius right curve, followed by Bank 28, the curve ends within the bank, the line crosses a culvert, and reaches the 7M point - 94M 1C 94L from Melbourne, calculated from diagram 3303_01.
Still on an up grade, the line exits Bank 28, and after a short surface formation, reaching the top of the grade and commencing a slight down grade, entering Bank 27 just before an unnamed road (Bennett's Road) PCR Crossing with 13'6" gates, raised 2.15', with a fence on each side, followed by Cutting 32. Bank 26 contains a culvert and the line continues through a series of low or shallow banks and cuttings of no real consequence except for Cutting 30 where an 80C radius right curve is enterd. The line commences a steeper down grade to a near level Bank 25, near which the curve ends, and crosses an unnamed watercourse via a 5 x 11' openings bridge, commences an up grade into Cutting 29, reaching the 6M point - 95M 1C 94L from Melbourne, calculated from diagram 3303_01.
Cutting 29 exits to Bank 24 where the line crosses a culvert, another culvert and Occupation Crossing on a surface formation, into level Bank 23 with another culvert, commences a down grade into Cutting 28 to level Bank 22, crossing an unnamed watercourse with a 3 x 11' openings bridge, before commencing an up grade through Cutting 27, in the middle of which the line cuts through a fence, exits the cutting to a surface formation, enters Bank 21, crosses a culvert, exits to a surface forming before entering Cutting 26 on a down grade.
Cutting 26 exits to a level Bank 20, and the line crosses an unnamed watercourse via a 3 x 11' openings bridge. It then commences an up grade into Cutting 25, enters near level Cutting 24 and reaches the 5M point - 96M 1C 94L from Melbourne, calculated from diagram 3303_01.
The line continues on a slight down grade into Bank 19, crosses a culvert, enters short shallow cutting 23, then Bank 18, crosses a 3 x 7' openings bridge, followed by an unnamed one chain road (Somerset Park Road) PCR Crossing with 13'6" gates, raised 3.68', with a fence on each side, crosses a culvert and enters Cutting 22 on a down grade and enters a short 40C radius right curve. The line crosses a water race culvert before entering level Bank 17, cutting a fence, ending the curve, and crossing an unnamed and closed road (Binks Road on the south side and Manning Court on the north side) via a 5 x 7' openings bridge.
The line enters Cutting 21 on an up grade, crosses an Allotment line, enters Bank 16, crosses a culvert, and then runs on a surface forming to an unnamed one chain road (Wilkie Road) PCR Crossing with 18'6" gates, raised 1.47', with a fence on each side, and enters the Strathfieldsaye Station Ground.
