Grade: 3303_11

The line leaves High Camp Station Ground via Cutting 84, and immediately crosses an unnamed (then an earlier alignment of what is now Crawford's Road) PCR Crossing with 18'6" gates, raised 0.92', a culvert, and commences an up grade, straightens and enters Bank 103 with a 5' x 5' arch culvert. The rise is topped at a fence and a diverted ditch at an unnamed road (McIvor Road, an earlier alignment of the now Northern Highway) PCR Crossing with 18'6" gates, raised 1.37', and commences a down grade in Bank 102, passing a diverted gully and crossing a 2' barrel culvert. It then enters Cutting 83, just before the 19M point - 52M 14C 79L from Melbourne.

Continuing through the cutting with sides reaching 42.9' in height, the line cuts a fence, followed by an unnamed and closed road on the Parish Boundary. It straightens from an 80C radius right curve and transitions to a 40C radius left curve, then enters Bank 101, crossing 3 x 2' barrel culverts, enters cutting 82, cutting a fence and passing a diverted watercourse, running along a short, low Bank 100 where it crosses a 2' barrel culvert and enters Cutting 81, followed by Bank 99, straightens, crosses a culvert, into Cutting 80, followed by Bank 98 with a 3' Barrel culvert, into Cutting 79, to Bank 97 with a 4' x 4' arch culvert, into Cutting 78, the line enters a 100C radius left curve, cuts a fence, to Bank 96 with a culvert, reaching the 20M point - 53M 14C 79L from Melbourne.

Grade: 3303_10

The line straightens and continues on the down grade through Cutting 77, to Bank 95, with 4' a 4' arch culvert, levels through Cutting 76, descends along Bank 94 with a culvert, through Cutting 75 to Bank 93, where it cuts a fence, crosses a 4' x 4' arch culvert and passes a diverted gully. It then enters Cutting 74, exits to Bank 92 with a culvert, enters Cutting 73, enters a 60C radius right curve, passing a diverted gully, enters Bank 91 with a double culvert, enters Cutting 72, cutting a fence, and then crossing an unnamed road (McIvor Road, now Northern Highway) PCR Crossing with 18'6" gates, raised 0.64', with a fence on each side and a culvert on the down side, to Banks 90 and 89, straightens and reaches the 20M point - 54M 1C 94L from Melbourne.

This point is a boundary between 2 surveys and the diagram is marked: Survey from Heathcote at 47M 00C 00L joins Survey From Kilmore 20M 62C 15L. The reference to Kilmore is the connection with the North East line at Wandong.

Continuing on the down grade on Bank 89, the line crosses named Mollison's Creek via a 7 x 15' openings bridge, levels, enters a 100C radius right curve, commences an up grade to cross a 16 x 15' openings bridge over named Handford's Creek and unnamed road.

The line continues over a culvert into Cutting 71, cuts a fence, enters Bank 88 which cuts another fence, passes a diverted drain, crosses an unnamed road (now Northern Highway) PCR Crossing with 18'6" gates, raised 1.86', a culvert and another fence. It continues on a surface formation, crossing a double culvert and reaching the 46M point - 55M 1C 94L from Melbourne.

Grade: 3303_09

Continuing up the grade in Cutting 70, with walls reaching to 44.9', straightens and transitions to a 40C radius left curve, the line peaks and commences a down grade, cutting a fence, crossing a culvert, an unnamed road Bridge over railway, and another fence. Near the end of the cutting, the line cuts a fence, straightens and enters Bank 85 where it crosses a culvert, cuts another fence, crosses a 3' barrel culvert, followed by a 6 x 15' and 1 x 20' openings bridge over an unnamed watercourse and road (??), into Cutting 69, enters a 40C radius left curve, exits to Bank 84 with a culvert, straightens and enters Cutting 68, near the 45M point - 56M 1C 94L from Melbourne.

The line continues to Cutting 67, entering a 40C radius left curve, cutting a fence, straightening, exiting to Bank 83, straightening to a bridge over the named Pyalong Creek and an unnamed (now closed Bridge Street), cutting a fence before and after.

The line enters a short 30C radius right curve, then enters Bank 82, followed by the Pyalong Station Ground on a near level grade.


Pyalong Station Ground is entered on Bank 82 on a 1 in 400 up grade. In about the centre of the ground, the line crosses a diverted road, enters shallow cutting 66, enters Bank 81, crosses a 3' barrel culvert, and exits in Cutting 65. The length of the station ground is 22C.
